Artist Statement

My interest in photography started as a young child when my father gave me my first SLR camera. I began taking photography courses while in high school. As my passion for the great outdoors grew, so did my passion for capturing it on film. My love of nature brought me to my current job. I am fortunate to live and work on top of Mt. LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. During my spare time I am pursuing a career in photography and am enrolled in a course with the New York Institute of Photography. I enjoy sharing my surroundings as seen thru me lens. My job enables me to travel to many foreign destinations during my off time. This is where my interest in travel photography began. Though many people will never experience the amazing journeys I have been fortunate to experience, I hope I can help give a glimpse of our world thru my photographs.
